Cabinet of monstrosities
A cabinet of curiosities, or "Wunderkammer," was a collection of diverse objects, often housed in a single room or cabinet, showcasing the owner's interests and curiosities.
These collections first emerged in Europe in the 14th century, and could include natural history specimens, artifacts, art and oddities, reflecting the fascination with exploration, science, and the bizarre. They served as a way for individuals, especially wealthy collectors, to display their knowledge and social status, as well as to spark curiosity and wonder about the world.
In the 18th century some of the bizarre or freakish biological specimens, whether genuine or fake, were also displayed in commercial freak shows and sideshows.
My own cabinet would definitely house a collection of the most bizarre monstrosities, collected on my interdimensional travels through time, space, and my mind. The latter being the most frightening destination.
